Rihanna is the richest female musician in the world today, according to Forbes
'Work, Work, Work' singer Rihanna is the wealthiest female musician in the world today, overtaking the likes of Madonna, Celine Dion and Beyonce, reports Forbes.
In 2018, Rihanna's wealth touched a staggering $600 million. Madonna is currently worth $570 million, Céline Dion $450 million)and Beyoncé $400 million.
Her infectious tracks aren't the reason for her riches, though. While fans all around the world may be humming 'Umbrella' and 'What's My Name?', it's her recent tie-up with LVMH that is the source of most of her wealth.
She launched her fashion label Fenty in collaboration with LVMH last month, becoming the first black woman to create an original brand with the luxury goods brand. It's the third brand to be launched by Rihanna after makeup brand Fenty Beauty and lingerie label Savage X Fenty.
From Fenty Beauty alone, Rihanna earned an estimated $570 million in revenue in its first 15 months, and the business is currently worth over $3 billion.
While LVMH is a co-owner, Forbes estimates Rihanna's stake is around 15% -- though this could not be confirmed.
