Cricketer Asif Ali writes heartfelt note remembering his daughter who passed away
Cricket Asif Ali has penned a touching prayer for his daughter, Fatima who passed away earlier this week.
The athlete, who's headed to the UK to join Pakistan's cricket team for the World Cup, shared the letter on Twitter:
In his post, Asif thanked everyone who stood by him and his family during this "extremely difficult time"; he expressed gratitude for their "extraordinary support, unconditional prayer, care and love" for his daughter.
In April, the cricketer had revealed that his daughter was fighting stage IV cancer and was being taken to the US for treatment.
"I want to remember Dua Fatima as a warrior. She was my strength and inspiration. The fragrance of her memories will stay with me forever. I again request you all to pray for the soul of my angel. Thanks again for being there for me," he concluded.
