Parwaaz Hai Junoon director Haseeb Hasan announces telefilm about the Pakistan Navy
As the airing date of his much-awaited TV drama Alif nears, director Haseeb Hasan has announced his next big project.
After directing Parwaaz Hai Junoon that honoured the valour and sacrifices of the Pakistan Air Force, he's now helming a telefilm about the Pakistan Navy named Laal.
"It's a story of sacrifice and friendship. One of our closest relationships is with our country and soldiers often prioritise this relationship over all others. This is a very challenging project and the team is working on it day and night," said director Hasan when talking about the project.
Laal, which has been written by Umera Ahmed, stars Bilal Abbas as a naval officer and Kubra Khan and Gohar Rasheed in key roles. The cast also includes Rasheed Naz (who plays a local chieftain from Balochistan), Saleem Mairaj, Nimra Bucha and several actors from Quetta.
It will be shot in the Gwadar district along the Ormara mountain drive.
The music for Laal has been done by Shuja Haider, who's previously done the music for other Haseeb Hasan directorials like Mann Mayal and Alif.
Laal will air on March 23.
