Will Maria Wasti's next drama be a tearjerker?

After a successful TV acting comeback in Dhund, Maria Wasti is all set to star in upcoming drama Sheher-e-Malal.

The actor is playing "a multi-layered and very strong character" named Tabinda in this Furqan Adam serial.

Speaking to Images, Maria said, "The story revolves around a woman who suffers a lot of unhappiness in life. She has lost the love of her life and is now married to another. Because of events like these, we see the kind of person she's become, her resentment and pain. It also shows how the people around her are affected by her actions."

About the drama, she adds, "Sheher-e-Malal is about how a person is shaped by the events of their life. It depends from person to person; every situation triggers something different in a person. That's what the drama shows and in that context, Tabinda is a very powerful character."

The cast also includes Hajra Yamin, Zainab Qayoom Rabya Kulsoom Rehan and Ali Abbas.
