Irrfan Khan is responding well to treatment, confirms director Shoojit Sircar

Nearly three months after Irrfan Khan was diagnosed with neuroendocrine tumour, we have an update on the actor's health now.

The Bollywood actor is responding well to the treatment and shall start working on his Udham Singh biopic by the year-end probably, film director Shoojit Sircar has confirmed.

"I've been speaking to both Irrfan and his wife (Sutapa Sikdar), he's responding well to the treatment and trying to cope with the knowledge that he's battling neuroendocrine tumour by treating the recuperation in Europe like a short and unexpected holiday. I'm planning to visit him next month. We hope to roll by the year-end but will wait till Irrfan is ready to shoot," Sircar shared.

In March this year, Irrfan Khan shared the news about his illness on Twitter.

Irrfan was last seen on the big screen in Blackmail, which released while he was abroad for treatment. Khan also has Vishal Bhardwaj's yet-untitled film co-starring Deepika Padukone in the pipeline.

Here's hoping he makes a speedy recovery!
