Rani Mukherjee fights against discrimination in title track from Hichki

Is Rani Mukherjee making a comeback for the books or what?

The makers of her upcoming film Hichki released its title track yesterday called 'Oye Hichki', which has been sung by Harshdeep Kaur. The song was launched at Rani’s alma mater, Maneckji Cooper School in Mumbai.

In the video, you see Naina (played by Mukherjee), a teacher who struggles with Tourette Syndrome bonding with her students. It's a metaphor of sorts, to not let hiccups in life demotivate you and to persevere against all odds. The song refers to hiccups not as an involuntary physical action but a mental obstacle.

Hichki, which is an adaptation of the 2008 Hollywood flick Front of the Class, has been directed by Sidharth P Malhotra and produced by Maneesh Sharma and Aditya Chopra under the banner of Yash Raj Films. The movie is slated for release on March 23.
