Kangana opens up about her reconciliation with Karan Johar
Earlier this month, headlines ran about Kangana Ranaut and Karan Johar calling a truce after their well-publicised feud over nepotism in Bollywood. These rumours were reported as images of them mingling on the stage of KJo's new talent hunt show India’s Next Superstar began doing the rounds.
However, as her episode on the show aired yesterday, Kangana broke her silence about those photos and rubbished the reconciliation rumours, saying she never had "any personal agenda" against KJo in the first place.
According to Indian Express, Kangana explained, "I have been on his (Karan) other show and met him otherwise too. See, I don’t have a personal agenda no matter who I have spoken about."
The Queen star says she prefers that conversations happen around issues, not people and her personal equation with them.
"I have always spoken about issues be it nepotism, exploitation, sexual harassment, these are issues. Not that I am always right, I have been wrong in many instances in life. That does not mean I do not have the right to voice my opinion," she further said.
Kangana insists Karan and her have been good for a while.
"Karan is mature. He knows I don’t have hard feelings for him. I don’t have the goal of changing Karan Johar but my goal is to eradicate issues to make our society a better place to live,” she concluded.
We have to agree with Kangana on this one: real issues shouldn't be reduced to tabloid news just because that's easier to digest.
