Sindh: The land of sufis and saints

The journey begins in the province of Sindh, where we witness the mystic warmth of Khairpur, Tando Adam, Ranipur and Sukkur. The land of Hazrat Sachal Sarmast and Abida Parveen envelops breathtaking historical sites, art and music which make up the modern identity of Sindhi culture and history.

At the food front, the series digs into local favourites: Sajji and Qalandari Daal Dabal.

Harsh cold weather and warm assorted pakoras await travelers on the famous Khyber Pass that connects Afghanistan and Peshawar. Valleys around Haripur and Charsadda offer some of Pakistan's best organic produce: chicken, eggs and the likes.

One of the world's biggest salt mines, Khewra, houses a uniquely designed mosque and the monument of Minar-e-Pakistan - made entirely out of salt. The region also holds one of Pakistan's most treasured archaeology museums: the Taxila Museum.

The series makes noteworthy stops at the Katas Raj Temple in Chakwal and Mohra Muradu Buddhist monastery; both locations holding significance for the worshipers and visitors alike.

When it comes to food, Punjab's locals swear by the Paya Chana and Halwa Puri breakfast.
