Fawad Khan's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil release in Pakistan doubtful, state reports

As per latest reports, Bollywood films Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Shivaay may not be released in Pakistan.

Indian trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted that he was told by ADHM's distribution company Fox Star Studios as well as Shivaay's Reliance Entertainment that the two films will not be released In Pakistan.

On Tuesday, local cinema owners had expressed delight at Ae Dil Hai Mushkil being released in India without any cuts or opposition by Indian political party Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS).

Currently, Chairman of the Film Exhibitor Association Zoraiz Lashari says there are no plans of lifting the ban on Bollywood films; however, IMGC Media and Marketing Manager Sabina Islam claims that the ban has only been lifted for "one Bollywood film". While the name of the one film has yet to be disclosed, IMGC was hoping to push Fawad's film.

Sabina Islam told Images that there has been no update thus far on the release of ADHM in Pakistan. "As you know, after the Quetta attack things seem very dicey and we don't know the situation."

"As far as India saying that ADHM will not release in Pakistan, we've received info through the tweet ourselves, other than that there has been no more update," she added.
