No Hum Style Awards, Mohib Mirza won't work for free

Guess we won't be seeing Mohib Mirza on stage at the QMobile Hum Style Awards (unless he wins Most Stylish Actor - Film, of course).

The Bachaana star has turned down the Hum Network's request to present an award at the show taking place in Karachi on October 28. It was expected that Mohib would present the award "for free" and that the honour of presenting would suffice.

But, in a Facebook post, Mohib says he doesn't have honour for breakfast.

According to Mohib, when an award show is being sponsored by a big brand, stars should not be expected to take the same brand's name while hosting when they aren't being compensated for the promotion. He also reveals that many celebrities agree to work for free to feel like they "belong" in the industry.

Mohib's post drew support from his peers in the industry, with musician/actor Ali Azmat saying that he also refused to present an award for free. Filmmakers Asad ul Haq and Shahzad Nawaz and fellow actors Sami Khan, Uroosa Siddiqui and Rubya Chaudhry also applauded his take on the matter.
