Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Is it Superman? No. It's Afridi's style whizzing through the air, on its way to being a sixer.

Shahid Afridi's cricket may not always be a crowd-pleaser, but his style has nothing less than 'I'm fabulous', written all over it. Taking one look at the former captain's Instagram proves that Afridi is still boom-booming his way through style trends stupendously.

Here are 10 times Shahid Afridi's style made us do a double take:

1) When his t-shirt was more inspirational than Oprah

If you're preaching, you might as well do it in style. Afridi gave his muscles some iron to pump while telling us to 'Stop Wars'. We see the Star Wars inspired font, Afridi. We see it.

2) When his shalwar kameez confused people into thinking it's Eid

He can rock shalwar kameez like it's Eid on a regular day, even if he has to sport it with a jacket. Watch out IK, you've got tough competition.

3) When he proved how versatile denim truly is

Denim only for western attire? Pfft. Shahid Afridi's out to prove you wrong with his dark denim kameez. Notice the faded pockets. Yeah, he went the whole nine yards.

4) When he kept it simple in a classic white shirt

You've got to hand it to the cricketer, he sure knows how to bang it in. He looks good without even trying. He's got this simple, casual, white button down-jeans look to the tee.

5) When he topped off a tee with a tux

Mind you, the only thing basic about Afridi's look here is his t-shirt.

While you would've never paired a tuxedo coat with a tee and jeans, Afridi hit it right out of the park.

6) When he worked, worked, worked that monotone

On-field or off, this batsman sure knows how to swing it. This time he went monotone and worked it. Riri would be proud.

Just when you thought you couldn't add more to a shalwar kameez than a suede zip-up jacket, along comes Afridi with another addition: a scarf knotted like a cravat.

We're still not sure about this match and the combination of all these trends altogether, but Afridi's owning it, especially with that tilted camera angle.

8) When he 'posed' for a candid shot (while wearing shades indoors)

Selfie bud Ahmed Shehzad has had more practice in front of the camera but it's Afridi who knows the real deal. He can strike a candid pose AND make it look good.

Could've almost been a snick, but he managed to save it.

9) When he showed us how to work branded belts

That's an Hermès alright. But we love how cool and collected he looks, like 'Yeah, aite, it's an Hermès, so?' He doesn't overdo it, unlike some people we know... (you know who you are).

Those cufflinks, that watch, the oxblood suede blazer; Afridi's a straight up baller here and you know!
