Andaz Apna Apna 2 won't be a remake, says director Priti Sinha

Remember when we told you about the remake of Andaz Apna Apna, the iconic comedy featuring Aamir and Salman Khan?

Well, it turns out that the film's not a remake at all.

According to Indian Express, Priti Sinha, Andaz Apna Apna 2 director and the daughter of the original film's producer Vinay Sinha, has cleared some misconceptions about the upcoming film. She said, "The film is not a remake of the original Andaz Apna Apna."

She further clarified that "Vinay Sinha has not sold the rights to Phantom Films or anybody else as reported by a section of media." Andaz Apna Apna 2 still remains a Sinha family production.

The film will go on floors soon.

Now that we know the original will remain untainted, we can only keep our fingers crossed for the 'sequel' to do justice to it.
