Ranbir's most welcome to marry whoever he wants: Rishi Kapoor
If there's one thing we've known about the real Kapoors (Rishi and Neetu) and their son (Ranbir), it's that they've hovered over his relationships.
For instance, Neetu Singh was famously public about her disapproval of Ranbir's last girlfriend, Katrina Kaif. (She's cropped Katrina out of family portraits in the past.)
So it comes as a surprise that Rishi Kapoor has said to Filmfare, "He’s most welcome to marry whoever he wants."
When asked about who Ranbir's ideal wife would be, he said, "I don’t interfere in his personal life. You can’t expect today’s children to go in for an arranged marriage. Today they’d rather opt for live-in. The total concept of love and marriage has changed. I had a love marriage. I chose my wife. My parents didn’t impose their choice. We have no say in Ranbir’s choice. When Ranbir decides to marry someone, we won’t have any objections.”
He added, "He’s had two relationships in the past with his co-actresses. We’ve had no problem. It’s up to him who he wants as a wife, as a girlfriend or work with as a co-actor. He’s most welcome to marry whoever he wants. We’d only be happy to have a daughter-in-law.”
The only thing Rishi is involved in is Ranbir's money matters, it seems: "I only look after his finances. I don’t know with whom he’s working or what he’s working on. He just informs me. The whole industry knows that.”
