I've been a bad mother to my music: Priyanka Chopra

Priyanka Chopra's recent acting projects (Quantico, Bajirao Mastani) have been in the limelight so much these days, that one almost forgets that she also has a music career.

It turns out that Priyanka herself has been just as forgetful.

Speaking to Hindustan Times, the actress/singer said she’s been a bad mother to her music, and that she hasn’t been giving it enough time.

"I’ll be honest, it is on the back-burner for a bit," she said. "I miss spending time in the studio, and making music. I hope I get to do it soon again. But right now, I am prioritising my show and my movies. Hopefully, between all of that, if I get the time, I’ll do something [in music]."

Given that her American TV show Quantico may be renewed for another season, could it be that we will also see less of Priyanka in Bollywood?

“I love Hindi films, and I cannot see myself, as an actor, not being part of Hindi movies. There’s a reason they call me ‘desi girl’, you know?” she says, laughing. “My priority has always been getting a great part in a great film, whether that’s in Hindi or in English. As long as it is up to my standards, I’d be open to working in it, whether it’s in Bollywood or in Hollywood,” she adds.
