Model Omar Shehzad set to become movie star

It's like the runway is wrapping up for good.

After model Shehzad Noor announced his upcoming TV debut, his peer Omar Shahzad reveals that he's been roped in Iqbal Kashmiri's upcoming action thriller.

Omar will play the character of a bank robber, who ditches his companion (Shamoon Abbasi) and absconds with the loot to Bangkok, where his lady love awaits. Shamoon, in the meantime, gets caught by the police and faces the consequences alone.

"Cinema has allure and glamour that can not be matched by any other medium. I love modelling and have had a great time working in television but acting in films has always been my goal and dream," shares Omar about this new turn in his career.

The film will also star Agha Ali (as the hero), Sajid Hasan and Mathira in a cameo appearance.

While the film's casting is yet to be complete (talks with TV actor Maya Ali are ongoing for one of the female roles), initial shooting is set to begin this week.
