Singer Abida Parveen took to her Instagram Thursday night to pay tribute to Asha Bhosle, the legendary Indian singer who passed away on Sunday.

In a video posted to her account, Parveen was effusive in her praise for Bhosle, saying she didn’t have the words to describe the singer’s stature or the breadth of her work.

God gave her talent, and she shared it with people, Parveen said, adding that being able to listen to her music was a prize she shared with everyone.

Bhosle and her late sister Lata Mangeshkar’s voices will live on forever, she said. Voices like those won’t come again, vowed Parveen.

She described wanting to meet the sisters for a long time before being able to travel to India and actually meet them. Parveen and Bhosle were judges on the reality music show Sur Kshetra in 2012 alongside Bangladeshi singer Runa Laila.

“She has left behind something so great that every Indian singer is copying her. That’s a big deal,” she said, adding that on musical shows, no matter if the singer is old or young, they all start with Bhosle’s songs and attempt to master her technique, something they still haven’t been able to do.

She went into detail describing some of that technique before reiterating that people like her have never come before and they never will again.

“Didi (Mangeshkar) also said Asha was versatile,” Parveen recalled, highlighting a difficult song she performed with Ghulam Ali and how everyone often discussed how they were able to pull it off.

“She was a pillar of India’s film industry as well as its shade,” she said, adding that words were not enough to adequately describe her.

The caption for her post read, “Our deepest, most sincere condolences to Asha Bhosle Taai and her family. No words can adequately describe who we’ve lost, and what a profound loss this is, not just for India or Pakistan, but for music as a whole. Asha Ji, Lata Ji, and their family who we have remained extremely close to from our time in India, have been in our prayers constantly through this time. Lots of love and prayers to the entire Mangeshkar family and Asha Bhosle Ji’s fans across the world.”

Music doesn't have any manmade boundaries. Remember that famous quote " If music be the food of love , then play on play on "
