Get ready to get the best of both worlds with the Hannah Montana 20th anniversary special featuring the face of the show’s iconic double role, Miley Cyrus.

Disney confirmed on Tuesday that the star would be joining the programme, which will stream on Disney+ from March 24 — marking exactly two decades since Hannah Montana’s 2006 debut .

The special episode is set to include an in-depth interview of Cyrus by podcaster Alex Cooper where the singer will revisit the moments, music, and memories that defined an era of children’s television. The singer posted old pictures from the series’ set on Friday.

Talking about the show, Cyrus said, “Hannah Montana will always be a part of who I am. What started as a TV show became a shared experience that shaped my life and the lives of so many fans, and I’ll always be thankful for that connection. The fact that it still means so much to people all these years later is something I’m very proud of. This ‘Hannahversary’ is my way of celebrating and thanking the fans who’ve stood by me for 20 years.”

The sitcom, which ended its four-season run in 2011, followed Miley Stewart (Cyrus), an average Californian high schooler who led a double life as the show’s titular pop-star Hannah Montana.

The series’ popularity and music-heavy nature made Cyrus a teen idol and earned her 14 platinum and 18 gold albums. She later transitioned into her present career as a singer, built largely on the foundations of her time in television.

The Emmy-nominated show also spawned a crossover episode with popular Disney shows That’s So Raven and The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, and another with The Wizards of Waverly Place and The Suite Life on Deck. Two films were also made, a concert film in 2008 and Hannah Montana: The Movie — which had a cameo from Taylor Swift — in 2009.
