A theatre actor was arrested by the Lahore police on Sunday in a case relating to the alleged rape of a 16-year-old girl who worked at her house.

The Nawab Town police registered a rape case against the actor, her employee and four unidentified men under Section 376 (rape) of the Pakistan Penal Code.

According to the FIR, registered by the victim’s mother, the girl had worked at the actor’s home in OPF Housing Scheme since August 8. She said a man living in the upper portion of the house served her daughter a drugged drink on the night of August 14 and raped her. When she awoke at 11am, the actor’s employee drugged and raped her again. The mother alleged that he called four other men — who were unknown to her daughter but whom she said she would be able to identify — who raped her for two days.

She was kept drugged and confined in the house, where pictures and videos of her assault were also taken, according to the FIR. She accused the actor of hitting her daughter’s stomach and threatening her to stay silent about the incident.

The victim fled the house on August 18, but did not immediately tell her family what had happened out of fear of reprisal. On August 23, her mother discovered what had happened because of the victim’s injuries and came to the police station to file the case.

The police conducted a raid on the actor’s house and took her into custody, and more raids are under way to arrest the other suspects.

Are we still living in the dark, diabolic and deteriorating time, period and era wherein the 'law of jungle' entails and 'might is right' prevails?'

I cant read this to the end. THIS is what we should worry about and protest day and night over, have sit ins in from of parliament and government buildings, and stop with any means possible as citizens. This is our moral and religious duty. We all know how this will go. Some media coverage, some victim blaming, some pretend FIR and police statements later, nothing will happen. All 6 male accused will walk free. No investigation. No consequence. No fair trial. No punishment. No justice. Only corruption and predators running loose. It is Pakistan after all where victims can only count on justice being denied, never served. Peoples silence is complicity.

So other medias are mentioning the name of the actor, or actually, actresses but not Images? So it appears 5 males and a female will walk free. Justice will be denied once again.

@Rpn Yes they will be arrested and then swiftly bailed, released.snd acquitted. This is Pakistan. Governments come and go but corruption is permanent. Nobody will pay. The victim will be silenced, refused to file a police report or forced to withdraw it and forgive. Modus operandi for our judicial system

The solution for the culprits is very easy to escape! Hide with the hounds and run with the corrupts, which are available everywhere in tons.
