Saira Raza, writer of Mere Humsafar, passes away
Renowned writer Saira Raza passed away on Tuesday after she suffered a cardiac arrest and was in critical condition, her family confirmed on her Instagram page.


Raza penned some of Pakistan’s beloved dramas, including Dil Mom Ka Diya, Inteqam, Yahya, and the hit show Mere Humsafar, which was celebrated both locally and internationally.

Actor and musician Farhan Saeed, who portrayed the protagonist in Mere Humsafar, shared the news of her passing on Instagram and requested prayers.

Zoya Nasir, who starred in the show alongside Saeed, also asked for prayers for the writer and called Raza’s passing “devastating news.”
“You’ll be missed immensely. May Allah give you peace,” the actor wrote.

“A voice of depth, emotion and truth is no longer with us,” Adnan Siddiqui wrote.
The actor said that Raza’s words shaped characters that felt like family, stories that lived in our hearts and dramas that were unforgettable.
“Saira Raza didn’t just write; she felt, and through her pen, she made us think too. May her soul rest in peace, and may her family find strength in this immense loss.”

Actor and writer Yasir Hussain also shared the news of Raza’s passing and hoped she rested in peace.
