Bridgerton and Derry Girls star Nicola Coughlan has once again demonstrated her commitment to the Palestinian cause by donating her one-of-a-kind Peace Lily couture gown, designed by Robert Wun, to a prize draw for a charity raising funds for Gaza.

Coughlan, in a statement shared by the charity organisation Choose Love, said, “It was an honour to wear this custom gown from the inimitable Robert Wun. The message behind it is a rallying call for peace. I’m delighted to donate this gown to the prize draw to support Choose Love’s work in Gaza.”

Taking to her Instagram stories, the actor urged her followers to enter the draw to “win this dress to benefit Choose Love.”

Tickets for the prize draw are priced at £25, with no limit on the number of entries per person. All proceeds will directly support Choose Love’s humanitarian efforts in Gaza, providing essential aid to those affected by Israel’s ongoing assault.

Coughlan wore the striking gown, a singular creation inspired by the Peace Lily flower, to the Canneseries festival, where she received the Konbini Commitment Award for her activism. The dress features a sculptural design with an asymmetrical neckline and a dramatic train, making it a standout piece.

Coughlan’s advocacy for Palestine is deeply personal. Her late father served as a UN peacekeeper in the Middle East, and her family lived in Jerusalem during the 1970s.

She has been vocal about the importance of using her platform to support innocent civilians, stating, “To me, it always becomes about supporting all innocent people… That’s my drive.”

Despite facing potential career repercussions, Coughlan remains steadfast in her activism. She has raised $2 million for various Palestinian causes through multiple fundraisers, demonstrating the impact of celebrity advocacy.

Maybe a bit more mention about the NGO itself, Choose Love, perhaps a link too, would be nice. Really a nice name for an NGO. Had to google them. They help refugees and displaced people.
