Fawad Khan and Indian star Vaani Kapoor have some Eidi for fans in the form of a teaser for their upcoming movie Abir Gulaal and a release date — May 9.
The teaser dropped on YouTube on April 1 and it was no joke. It showed the pair looking dreamily into each other’s eyes in a car.
“This heartwarming tale unfolds in the picturesque streets of London, weaving a love story filled with unexpected turns, tender moments, and pure magic. Audiences can expect a delightful blend of laughter, tender moments, and the undeniable chemistry between Fawad Khan and Vaani Kapoor,” reads the synopsis of the film.
The description of the teaser on YouTube puts Khan’s name at the top of the cast list, so we hope he has a big role in the film. It also features Lisa Haydon, Riddhi Dogra, Farida Jalal, Soni Razdan, Parmeet Sethi, Rahul Vora, Amrit Sandhu, Sujoy De and Dev Agrawal. It has been directed by Aarti S Bagdi.
This isn’t Khan’s first foray into Bollywood films — he played the lead in Khoobsurat opposite Sonam Kapoor as well as Kapoor & Sons with Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra. Since the ban on Pakistani actors in Bollywood, he hasn’t been in any Indian productions.
His biggest project has been The Legend of Maula Jatt in which he played the titular Maula. Recently, he starred in Barzakh alongside Sanam Saeed.
Kapoor has acted in War, Befikhre and in the upcoming film Raid 2 alongside Ajay Devgn.
