Move over, ACP Pradyuman! The internet is solving a mystery that involves Hania Aamir, Diljit Dosanjh, and Sardaar Ji 3. Fans have put on their detective hats and are connecting dots faster than you can say “cross-border collaboration.”

While neither the actors nor the makers have confirmed anything, the rumour mill is spinning wildly, and all signs (or rather, all Instagram posts) seem to indicate that this might be happening. And let’s be honest, if the internet has taught us anything, it’s that fans are exceptionally good at finding clues.

Clue No. 1: A cake

A seemingly innocent picture of Hania Aamir, Diljit Dosanjh, and Neeru Bajwa casually posing with a cake has been making the rounds online. Shared by Bajwa in a now-expired Instagram story and reposted by several pages, it served as hard-hitting ‘evidence’ that the trio must be working on a project together.

Clue No. 2: Matching locations

On Monday, Dosanjh posted a set of pictures featuring a stylish look: black trousers, a hoodie, a red jacket, and a matching red-and-white cap. Standard Dosanjh behaviour, except for one tiny detail — in the last slide of the carousel post, he shared a scenic shot of a lake, towering trees, and a forest.

Later that day, Aamir posted a picture from what looked to fans like the exact same location, with the caption: “What in the evermore is this.”

A Reddit user (because of course it was Reddit) put the two images side by side and declared that both actors were in the UK, most likely in Edinburgh, possibly for a shoot. While some fans think this could be for Dosanjh’s upcoming music video ‘Water’, others are hoping that Aamir is making her grand Punjabi film debut in Sardaarji 3.

Clue No. 3: The Punjabi banger

Dosanjh shared a funny reel gearing up for a ‘shoot’ for Sardaar Ji 3 from, you guessed it, Edinburgh. In the reel, he also shared a video of cake cutting (refer to clue no. 1) with the same backdrop and cake. Unfortunately, the clip did not feature Aamir. But we know she was there because, well, clue no. 1.

So, is Aamir actually in Sardaarji 3?

Well, the evidence is circumstantial at best, but that’s never stopped the internet before. While Aamir, Dosanjh, and Bajwa remain tight-lipped, Sardaar Ji 3, the Punjabi horror-comedy, is scheduled for release on June 27.

The popular franchise began in 2015 with Sardaar Ji, featuring the hit pairing of Dosanjh and Bajwa. The second instalment was released in 2016 and starred Bajwa, Monica Gill, Jaswinder Bhalla, and Yashpal Sharma.
