Macklemore has just dropped another hard-hitting track, once again calling out the forces behind the devastation in Gaza and the relentless efforts to displace Palestinians.

The rapper, who previously released ‘Hind’s Hall’ and ‘Hind’s Hall 2’ — two powerful anthems of resistance exposing the bigotry of the West and leaders such as former US president Joe Biden — is a strong supporter of the Palestinian liberation movement.

He continues his unapologetic stance in his latest release, ‘F***** Up’, shared on Instagram.

The video opens with a quote by Eugene V Debs, “The most heroic word in all languages is ‘revolution’.” Macklemore wastes no time getting to the point, rapping, “New era ushered but white supremacy is still in charge / Talking colonising Gaza from the White House lawn.” The video highlights Donald Trump and references his latest remarks about the US “rebuilding Gaza” while suggesting the forced relocation of its people.

Much like in ‘Hind’s Hall’, Macklemore amplifies the voices of protesters and challenges the system: “Finally see the oligarchy and men that control us all.” He then highlights the burden placed on American taxpayers: “Killing Palestinian kids and we get hit with the cost?” — a reminder of the US government’s financial and military support for Israel.

The rapper also takes direct aim at Meta’s censorship and the manipulation of information in the US, rapping, “But you know us Americans, out of sight, out of mind, and they know it too. That’s why they running game on our lives.” The visuals flash through major tech corporations like Netflix, Apple TV, Amazon Prime, and Facebook, critiquing their role in shaping public perception.

As the video unfolds, footage of Israeli airstrikes, global protests, and scenes of apartheid in both South Africa and Palestine are used to create a chilling parallel. A particularly striking image is Musk’s infamous Nazi salute as the chorus erupts: “They got me f***** up, they got me f***** up, Elon got me f***** up. And Elon, we know exactly what that was, bruh. They got us f***** up.”

The track culminates with a resolute message: “You can bomb a mosque but you can’t bomb faith. You can kill people, resistance grows in the wake. And while our president sends billions to Israel’s safes, ethnic cleansing’s never gonna make Israelis feel safe.”

Blunt, unfiltered, and fearless, ‘F**** Up’ reinforces Macklemore’s ability to speak truth to power. The track, blending sharp lyricism with potent visuals, pulsates with urgency and demands we stop turning a blind eye to Palestine’s reality, even if we’ve grown immune to the visuals on our feeds.

For now, the song isn’t available on YouTube, Spotify, or other major streaming platforms.

Show of great courage, boldness, and moral strength by the rapper since under the prevailing circumstances, calling a spade, a spade is becoming more and more hard especially in Washington, D.C. and the occupied Palestinian territories. Well done, keep it up and hang on tough.
