‘Stop judging women’: Sharmila Faruqui slams Hina Bayat for criticising Hania Aamir, Yashma Gill’s clothes
Hania Aamir and Yashma Gill were living their best lives, dancing at Gill’s younger sister’s wedding in adorable outfits. The actors wore short cholis and flared lehngas, however, as Taylor Swift said, “Haters gonna hate, hate, hate, hate, hate.”
After videos of the bestie duo went viral online for their incredible moves, some people jumped to critique their outfits and Hina Khawaja Bayat was one of them.
“I was wondering if people have forgotten something called a kameez,” the actor commented on a video of the pair dancing shared by blogger Afia Qazi.
Former member of the Sindh Assembly Sharmila Faruqui was quick to call out Bayat’s statement and urged her to “live and let live”.
“Stop judging women with their choice in clothing. If that’s the case then all men should wear sherwanis and not suits,” she wrote in an Instagram story responding to Bayat’s comment.
We agree with Faruqui. It’s 2025, and dragging other women down especially based on their clothing choices is absolutely ridiculous. Women should be able to wear whatever they want. Period.
