Shooting reported outside AP Dhillon’s Vancouver home, Lawrence Bishnoi gang claims responsibility
Gunfire was reported near the home of Punjabi singer and rapper AP Dhillon in Canada’s Vancouver on Monday, reported India Today. An official confirmation from local authorities is still awaited, the news has sparked considerable concern.
The infamous Lawrence Bishnoi-Rohit Godara gang has claimed responsibility for the incident. The gang, which has a history of criminal activities, allegedly circulated a threatening message on social media following the incident. In the message, they claimed to have orchestrated shootings at two locations in Canada on the night of September 1 — one in Victoria Island where Dhillon’s home is located, and another in Woodbridge, Toronto.
In a chilling message that followed the shootings, the gang warned Dhillon to “stay within his limits” or face severe consequences, including a “dog’s death.” The threats appeared to be linked to the singer’s association with Bollywood actor Salman Khan. The attack comes just weeks after Dhillon released a music video for ‘Old Money’ featuring the Bollywood superstar.
The gang has previously fired at Khan’s house and attempted to assassinate him. They were also linked to the death of Punjabi rapper Sidhu Moosewala.
Canadian law enforcement agencies are currently investigating the authenticity of the social media posts and the shootings.
No official statement has been released by the police regarding the incident or the potential threat to Dhillon.
