Sabzwari has a history of passing problematic remarks about women and other public figures, including Nadia Khan, and she's not having it.

Nadia Khan has something to say about Behroze Sabzwari’s tendency to put his foot in his mouth during interviews. And she’s especially sick of the way he talks about women.

The popular host, in a recent appearance on a 24 News HD podcast, slammed the veteran actor for his hot takes on people after the host brought up his most recent comments on former prime minister Imran Khan in an FHM interview that caused a social media storm.

During the interview, Sabzwari made comments about the former premier that many of his supporters took offence to, including fellow actor Hina Khwaja Bayat.

“He’s spilling his own secrets, as well as other people’s,” Nadia quipped on the show. Marina Khan and Rubina Ashraf were also invited as guests.

Ashraf, when asked to give her opinion on the matter, defended Sabzwari, saying, “A lot of the times, interviews steer in a direction where the person talking gets too comfortable with talking. As actors, we’ve all been there. So, if you see that happening, I believe you should let it go.”

Nadia, however, saw the situation differently. She said that it’s okay if someone wants to talk about themselves, but it’s not okay for anyone to be gossiping like this — especially celebrities.

“I have a problem when Behroze Sabzwari talks about other women. In another podcast recently, he spoke about his ex daughter-in-law [Syra Yousuf], which people objected to. Sometimes he talks about me, other times he talks about other women,” she complained.

Last September, Sabzwari appeared on Subh Ka Samaa and brought Nadia into a discussion about Pakistani films and dramas. He warned the host and everyone else to refrain from criticising actors because they work so hard.

“There’s a woman, Nadia Khan, she’s spent six to seven years doing a morning show on one channel and on every episode she’s insulted her guests,” he said. “You’re badmouthing your industry and the channels that are giving you work.”

In the past, Sabzwari has also been called out for policing women’s clothes and passing judgemental remarks about women in the industry. In a podcast episode with controversial host Nadir Ali, he said, “Vulgarity is becoming a norm in Pakistani dramas,” and advised female actors to dress more “appropriately” onscreen.

“Some women wear inappropriate clothes, very see-through and tight. I believe that is wrong. Our showbiz is packed with highly educated and knowledgeable actors. They are quite aware of how men think so, they should take care of what they are wearing.”

Referring to that interview without directly referencing it, Nadia added, “He [Behroze] also keeps an eye on what women are wearing and how tight or loose it is. That really infuriates me. You want to talk? Talk about yourself. I really liked what Hina Khwaja Bayat said about him.”

Nadia’s response to Sabzwari’s interview comes a week after he was dragged on social media for his comments on Imran Khan and other people in the industry, including members of his own family.

"They are quite aware of how men think..." Does he mean that men cannot control their thoughts?

Clearly Nadia Khan, in her usual self, is indirectly trying to increase her fan base by ridiculing directly and indirectly the one who ridiculed Imran Khan. What she is doing is no different than what she is accusing him of.

Sometimes we don't like FACTS if they are about women and stated by men. Similarly, FACTS about men, when uttered by women, may not be liked by men. So, how about we focus more on FACTS than on personalities and opinions. Media industry is known for sexism across the globe. And yes, Pakistan's media has a tendency to follow others, instead of being original. So, there has been a trend towards showing body and skin (by both men and women).

What's wrong in talking about women clothes in general. Where are we going if we are having problems with that? Just following western trends for the sake of following.. where are our own values and traditions? He's not wrong about vulgarity is becoming a norm , women and men are both responsible for it so why not speak against it collectively Instead of pulling them down. Whoever wrote this piece is absolutely biased and wrote without thinking, you will have to be answerable one day for whatever you are writing for public because you are making an influence. So respect your cultural values and not trends. And it's a shame that people like Nadia are also falling for trends and bashing game.

Can we stop this culture of bashing older celebrities. Whoever is doing it or promoting it will have to face the same at the end. Behroz Sahab has a standing in our industry and he deserves some respect, learn to respect older people in general. Yes he's not right in everything in says but it doesn't mean we start hate campiagn against them. And as usual blind political party supporters are doing what they are good at, attacking someone without listening properly.
