An inside look at cricketer Imamul Haq’s qawali night
Cricketer Imamul Haq is getting hitched this winter to Anmol Mehmood, and the celebrations are in full swing. The couple celebrated their qawali night on Thursday at the Nishat Hotel in Lahore.
The event saw the bride in a heavily embellished grey lehenga and the groom in a sequined dark blue kurta.
The guest list included cricketers such as Babar Azam, Usman Qadir and Mushtaq Ahmed, taking a break from their preparations for the Australian series.
Cricket legends Sarfaraz Ahmed, Muhammad Yousuf, Waqar Younis, Wahab Riaz and Azhar Ali were also present.
The groom’s uncle Imzamamul Haq was spotted hanging out with fellow ex-cricketers.
The festivities began with a mehndi ceremony in Norway, as captured by TailorMade Vision, featuring traditional decorations with colourful drapes, flowers, and ladoos.
The wedding buzz started when Haq shared a post by designer HSY, showcasing Anmol’s mehndi with the caption Imam Ki Anmol. The bride wore a farshi gharara in burnt orange and deep red, paired with green traditional jewellery, set against a scenic backdrop.
The groom was sported a red sherwani and white kurta in a picture captioned ‘Mine’ by his bride.
The festivities are not over yet, with the baraat scheduled for November 25 and the valima on November 26. Haq will rejoin the cricket team on November 28 for the Australian series.
