Shamoon Abbasi and Sherry Shah will be seen in Eid telefilm Sugar-Free Mohabbat
Shamoon Abbasi was part of some of Pakistan’s the biggest movies last year and he has a lot lined up this year as well, starting with upcoming telefilm Sugar-Free Mohabbat, in which he will be pairing up with his wife Sherry Shah. This marks their first project together after their marriage.
Shah, who was last seen in the drama Rangeelay Hum in 2021, will also be making her come back with this telefilm.
Talking about his experience of working with Shah, Abbasi told Images, “I always enjoy working with Sherry Shah because she’s a very energetic actress and she’ll be making her come back on television after a very long time, so I was definitely missing her energy on screen. Sherry and I have worked on comedy and serious plays together. I love her comic timing. She’s one of my favourite co-actors.”
The telefilm is set to release on the first day of Eidul Fitr on Aan TV and has been directed by Iftikhar Ahmad Usmani, also known as Iftikhar Iffi. It has been written by Ishq Nahin Aasan writer Hassan Imam and produced by Everready Pictures. The cast also includes Agha Ali, Hina Altaf, Rashid Farooqui, Salina Sipra and Farah Nadeem.
Abbasi, who was last seen in the drama Bakhtawar, has two Eid plays coming up, one is this and the other is for Alif TV. He has recently finished shooting for the drama Ziddi for Aan TV and is also working on the web series Gorakh, which is directed and written by him and is based on true events.
He also has five movies lined up — Huey Tum Ajnabi, Daadal, Dhaai Chaal, Dehli Gate and Rayan The Superhero. The first two will be premiering on Eid and the rest will be released later this year.
