In a shocking turn of events, actor Saeeda Imtiaz is alive and well and says an announcement about her death was the result of her Instagram account being hacked.

I don’t know why someone would do this, she said in a video posted on her Instagram account. She said she woke up that morning to many calls and messages from people asking about her welfare. She said the situation sent her into shock.

The initial post, posted to her verified Instagram account, claimed that Imitiaz had been found dead in her room that morning.

She said that the news sent her mother and siblings, none of whom live in Pakistan, into a panic.

She said someone hacked her Facebook and Instagram accounts, which were linked.

“I understand teasing or bullying someone, but I don’t understand bullying someone to this extent where it hurts them and their family!” she said in the video. “You don’t know what the person in front of you is going through.”

The actor was born in the UAE and raised in New York, US, according to her website. Her first acting venture was Pakistani film, The Making of a Legend, an Imran Khan biopic in which she played the cricketer’s ex-wife Jemima Goldsmith.

In 2019, it was announced that she was pairing up with Shahroze Sabzwari for a film titled Qulfi. She also participated in Adnan Siddiqui’s Bigg Boss-esque reality show Tamasha Ghar.
