Actor Ushna Shah tied the knot with professional golfer Hamza Amin on Sunday, two months after announcing her engagement. The daytime wedding was anything but small and intimate — it was a star-studded event and many members of the industry were in attendance. We don’t know if there was a dress code but a lot of the celebs were dressed in saris, each one flaunting their distinct style. The golden question is, of course, who wore it best?

What’s interesting to see is that though they were all wearing saris, the stars showed up donned in different colours, fabric, patterns and designs.

Sajal Aly

Sajal Aly kept it simple in a breezy, summery sari yet she managed to stun, carrying off the bright pink, flowy piece elegantly.

Kubra Khan

Kubra Khan chose a sheer tan sari with flowers embroidered on it in white, perfect for an outdoor daytime event.

Zara Noor Abbas

Although Zara Noor Abbas and Saboor Aly had a slight overlap in their shades of pink — a soft rose quartz — their designs and accessories were completely different. Abbas’ sari was dotted with sequins and the flowers were small and intricate. She paired it with huge, three-tier earrings, silver bangles and light brown sunnies.

Saboor Aly

Saboor’s sari had chunks of flower bouquets in silver popping out and her blouse had thinner, more defined straps. She paired this with a simple silver chain and some wrist wear.

Sumbul Iqbal Khan

Sumbul Iqbal Khan was dressed in the simplest of colours but that’s where simple ended when it came to her outfit. We’ve included it because we think it’s a sari, though it could be something else entirely. She wore a beaded blouse, with the ‘sari’ made of a sheer material with white flowers, sequins and feathers embellished on it. Strings of beads were also hanging off her skirt and there seemed to be something attached to her right wrist as well which is why we’re confused if it really is a sari.

Sunita Marshall

Sunita Mashall is one of the rare celeb guests who had their hair up in a bun. Her clothes were also quite distinguishable with her thick bordered, ivory sari printed with red roses draped over her lime green blouse. She paired it with a thick traditional pearl choker.

Amar Khan

Amar Khan may not be dressed in a sari but we’ll make an exception for her. Her sequined white choli and floor-length, textured palazzo pants paired with a long, heavily sequined jacket made for a very interesting outfit. It also cinched at the waist to create a whole new look with just a single hook.
