On Wednesday, the UK publication released its Top 30 under 30 Asians list to honour South Asians who are “breaking boundaries, expanding horizons, shattering glass ceilings, and delighting audiences”. The list includes artists who are inspiring young people with what they bring to the table, adding an “extra dimension” to the entertainment industry.
The 2023 list includes actor Aly whose international project What’s Love Got to Do with It? just released, Abbas who keeps impressing with his diverse roles, Vellani who took Pakistan to the MCU, Hashmi who keeps getting better as the years pass and Azhar and Azaan with their musical prowess and acting skills.
Indian actor Alia Bhatt, known for Gangubai Kathiawadi, British actor Simone Ashley known for Bridgerton, Canadian actor Maitreyi Ramakrishnan known for Never Have I Ever, British actor Naomi Scott known for Aladdin and Indian singer Ritviz are also among the top 30 Asians.
