Bilal Ashraf to make TV debut with Maya Ali in a drama directed by Mohammed Ehteshamuddin
Bilal Ashraf is all set to make his TV debut with Maya Ali in an upcoming drama serial. The stars have paired up in the past for photoshoots for HSY and AlKaram and also appeared side by side during the PSL season as Quetta Gladiators brand ambassadors. We now get to see if their on-screen chemistry is as swoon worthy as their photoshoots!
Taking to Instagram on Sunday, Ashraf shared a photo of a clapperboard that featured the drama’s name, Younhi, the day and date, location and episode number.
The Superstar actor wrote “Bismillah - Pehla [first]” while tagging the crew and cast in his post.
Ali, Turkish film director Hussain Abdullah and makeup artist Babar Zaheer also commented under Ashraf’s post. His co-star teased the drama’s title and wrote, “YUNHI kat jaaye ga safar” while others wished star all the very best.
Ashraf and Ali didn’t give Images any spoilers on the show but said that the drama is being produced by Momina Duraid and directed by Mohammed Ehteshamuddin for HUM TV. The celebrities were tight-lipped about the rest of the star cast, drama title, their character description and more details about the show.
Publicist Syed Noman Alam also shared a photo with the two actors from the set of their upcoming show.
Ashraf started his journey in the entertainment industry with films and delivered hits such as Superstar and Aik Hai Nigar with Mahira Khan, Janaan starring Armeena Khan, Ali Rehman , Hania Aamir and Usman Mukhtar, Yalghaar with Shaan Shahid, Humayun Saeed, Hassan Rana, Adnan Siddiqui and Ayesha Omar, Rangreza alongside Urwa Hocane and Gohar Rasheed, Waar 2 with Shahid and Ali, Jhol with Hocane, Ali Azmat and Saleem Mairaj and 021 with Shahid and Ayub Khoso. However, he never made it to the silver screen.
After Parey Hut Love, Ali made a comeback on our TV screens last year in Pehli Si Mohabbat alongside Sheheryar Munawar. This year she impressed many with her period drama Jo Bichar Gaye with Wahaj Ali.
