Mahira Khan pens note of admiration for her ‘hero’, Quaid-e-Azam Zindabad costar Qavi Khan
When a great actor steps foot into the arena, you can’t look away. Mahira Khan couldn’t help but express her admiration for one such actor, her costar in film Quaid-e-Azam Zindabad, Qavi Khan. Calling him her “hero” she talked about all the things that make him so great in her eyes.
On Tuesday, Mahira shared a scene from the movie to offer a glimpse of the Aangan actor’s expertise. She penned a note of appreciation alongside it and wrote, “Qavi Saab.. the legend, the actor par excellence.. at the age of 79 stands tall amongst a plethora of young artists because till date, he is the most dedicated of them all. He is always prepared. He loves what he does and you can see it in every frame.”
Aside from praising his professional skillset, she also shared why the Andhera Ujala actor is so special when it comes to interpersonal interaction. “He is generous with his words to actors like me and others who watch him in awe. I’ve learnt so much about this man. He’s had his fair share of failures in life.. and still continues to do what he does with a smile which oozes both humility and pride.”
The Humsafar actor feels it “an honour” to have him amongst us. Calling him her “hero”, she brought notice to what grasped at her heart in the aforementioned scene, “Just look at that hand he puts on his head in this scene… ufff.. that little gesture, it’s the whole scene for me.”
Directed by Nabeel Qureshi and produced by Qureshi and Fizza Ali Meerza, the action-comedy was released last month. Starring Mahira and Fahad Mustafa, the movie is the story of a police officer who earns through illegal means but gets a spiritual awakening midway through the story and realises his patriotic duty. It is the duo’s second appearance together after her cameo in Actor-In-Law.
