Bollywood’s Janhvi Kapoor thinks a project with her family may be the only way for them to spend time together
Bollywood stars are often rather busy, heading from one movie shoot to another. That’s why Janhvi Kapoor believes the only way to take a break and spend time with her family is via a project that includes her father Boney Kapoor, sister Khushi Kapoor and half-brother Arjun Kapoor.
In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, the star joked that she hasn’t been able to hang out with any of them due to their hectic schedules and so she wants a film or a project in which they all could work together as one unit.
She made the comment while recalling the time she spent with her father when they worked on Mili, her upcoming thriller that has been produced by Boney. The film sees Janhvi as a woman who is stuck in a freezer fighting to stay alive. But being from a film-family, she was asked about a project with her half-brother Arjun to which she quipped that a project together would bring the family together.
“I hope so. I really hope so. The thing is that I think because we are all working so much…touch wood…we are not getting to spend as much time together as a family as I would want us to. And I think the most time I have spent with Papa has been during the shoot of Mili because we were creatively doing something together. So I think the only way now to get the family together is to just do a film, and like cast everyone in the family.”
She also joked about nepotism, a word associated with the younger Bollywood lot quite a bit, and said perhaps the project starring the Kapoor family could be titled that.
She added with a laugh, “Maybe we’ll have to call it nepotism only because it’s all in the family. But yeah I would love to do a film with him.”
Janhvi who is the eldest daughter of late actor Sridevi, has a Bollywood family that includes uncles Anil Kapoor and Sanjay Kapoor and cousins Sonam Kapoor, Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor and Shanaya Kapoor.
On the work front, Janhvi is gearing up for her upcoming film Good Luck Jerry that is slated for an OTT release on Disney+ Hotstar this month.
