With a long list of movies set to be released in cinemas in 2022, the Pakistani film industry is eager to move forward at full throttle. One of the many films ready to make it to cinemas is Dum Mustam starring Imran Ashraf and Amar Khan in lead roles. No film is complete without a set of songs that add a spark to the viewing experience — and Dum Mustam's soundtrack proves this.

The film, produced by Adnan Siddiqui, saw the release of its fourth song 'Ik Vari Sun Le' on Thursday, March 31. Sung by Azaan Sami Khan, the song is an ode by Bao (played by Ashraf) to his lover Aliya (played by Khan) while he adores her from afar. The song talks about two people gazing at each other as they meet for the second time, a look that captivates their hearts.

Other songs from the film's soundtrack have become fan favourites as well. Shiraz Uppal and Neha Chaudhry's song 'Larki Achari' started a dance trend on social media after the upbeat dance number was released. Other songs from the film are 'Beqarar Dil' by Bilal Saeed and 'Tu Heer Meri' by Nabeel Shaukat Ali and Beena Khan.

Dum Mastam is a story of aspirations and reversals of karmic fate centered around two relatable characters — Aliya and Bao. Aliya loves to dance. Before turning into an international sensation, she lives the life of a realistic girl next door — albeit one who might just have a secret world brimming with innocent fantasies. The other lead, Bao, is a lovable lout, who eventually hits it big as a singer and his meteoric rise dramatically changes him from a smart-alecky hick to an emotionally detached musical sensation.

The film is directed by Mohammad Ehteshamuddin and the cast includes Uzma Beg, Sohail Ahmed, Faiza Gillani, Saife Hassan, Saleem Mairaj, Adnan Shah Tipu, and Tahira Imam.

Dum Mastam will be released in cinemas on Eidul Fitr alongside the Rehman Khan and Hania Aamir-starrer Parde Mein Rehne Do, the Saba Qamar and Zahid Ahmed-starrer Ghabrana Nahi Hai, and the Neelam Muneer and Ahsan Khan-starrer Chakkar.

I am not sure about the fate of this movie but have to say that this girl Amar Khan has sparks of Saba Qamar. Imran Ashraf is a class act any ways.
