Warning, this story contains spoilers for the finale of the drama Jo Bichar Gaye.

Jo Bichar Gaye has come to an end after 14 episodes and the short but impactful drama has left fans consumed by emotions after witnessing the conclusion to the three main characters' journeys. Though netizens describe the drama as heartbreaking, there's high praise for how it stays true to the historical event and its consequences.

Based on the true events that occurred during the separation of East Pakistan in 1971, the drama takes a wide lens and allows for a Bengali view. It then takes a deeper dive by linking the timeline of political failures and the human cost. The cast includes Wahaj Ali, Maya Ali, Talha Chahour, Nadia Jamil, Sajid Shah, Adnan Jaffar and Rana Majid, among others.

The historical drama explored several points of view and in the finale, it boiled down to a soldier (Chahour) who had to weigh choosing his family or his country, Wahaj, a man who'd been misled by his superiors finally taking a stand and a woman (Maya) trying to make the right, unselfish choice at the cost of her own life. Fans raved about how underrated the drama is and how the industry needs to follow suit and create more shows that prioritise quality content that balances entertainment and information.

Netizens praised the period drama for its apt portrayal of what people went through in those times, justifying the heartache that the finale left behind.

Fans are still recovering.

Some brought their therapy bills to director Haissam Hussain's notice.

Sundays will never be the same.

Fans pointed out what the drama industry lacks and reminded producers to take inspiration from Jo Bichar Gaye when they run out of ideas and have budget constraints.

Netizens loved the acting and plot — all in all, they declared the drama "underrated" and unforgettable.

What did you think of Jo Bichar Gaye?

Absolutely brilliant drama that will be remembered for many years to come. A complete storyline full of emotions, suspense and a true reality. Abdullah Kadwani and Asad Qureshi (who are instrumental in producing pathetic content) should learn from the writer & producers of 'Jo Bichar Gaye'.

There is no doubt, this is by far the best drama I have watched for years. Everything is so perfectly articulated and presented. The side-actors has performed so well. Most of them are theater artists and their work is highly appreciable.

When art, history, acting, and directing are combined together, the result appears in the form of Jo Bichar Gaye.

What bewilders me is the low viewership of this masterpiece. I believe people don't deserve to watch such a high quality content since they are conditioned to appreciate trash being telecasted on our channels.

What a mind-blowing content I have recently witnessed while watching JBG. It's simply brilliant. Common people having superficial sense of performing arts cannot value this kind of masterpiece.

what amazes me about this addition of Rumi character that is a real life Hero of Bengalis made the narrative quite balanced and we can feel the pain for ppl on both sides, if it was purely from the book so it might looked a biased version

Shabaash to GEO TV!!!! JO BICHAR GAYE last episode was aired on Sunday, viewers were in tears but full of praise, drama critics and magazine gave reviews full of praise for the entire cast, A play that was beautifully penned down and flawlessly executed making every character and track unforgettable , setting the bar really high was treated by its own channel like an orphan, neglected and ignored. Not a single appreciation or acknowledgement post for this MASTER PIECE What a biased channel!!! thanks to the fan pages
