Saba Qamar and Nauman Ijaz to play a married couple in ZEE5's Mrs and Mr Shameem
Actors Saba Qamar and Nauman Ijaz will soon be seen as an on-screen married couple in ZEE5's original web-series Mrs & Mr Shameem.
Mrs & Mr Shameem, which was previously titled Mann Jogi, will feature a married couple and focus on their peculiar journey of love, friendship and growing old together. The series is directed by Kashif Nisar who has helmed several drama series including shows Dumpukht, Aatish E Ishq and O Rangreza. It has been written by Saji Gul who is also the writer of drama O Rangreza.
Ijaz had shared an Instagram picture with Nisar from the shoot in 2021.
In 2020, Zindagi had announced a line-up of five star studded original web-series, including Mann Jogi. The makers of the series renamed it to Mrs and Mr Shameem after much consideration. “We were contemplating about the title for a while and finally decided to call it Mrs & Mr Shameem," said Nisar. "It is a true reflection of the story and depicts a changing outlook among society — one in which the woman plays an equally significant role in a relationship. Saba and Nauman have done a fantastic job of bringing the characters Mrs and Mr Shameem to life."
Although the date of release hasn't been announced yet, the series will launch soon on the streaming platform.
