Sushant Singh Rajput's sister demands justice, says no biopic to be made on her deceased brother
The sister of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, Priyanka Singh, has said no one can play her brother's character in a biopic based on his life. Ahead of his birthday, Priyanka promised that no film will be made up until justice is served for her brother who passed away in 2020.
She shared a throwback photo and wrote that she "firmly believes no movie on SSR should be made, at least not until justice is served," as a promise to her brother.
Priyanka also said that she wonders who will be able to bring "SSR's handsome, innocent, and dynamic persona" to the screen. "It can only be illusory to expect that anybody from this insecure film industry has the courage & integrity to truthfully portray SSR’s outrageously unique story where he always followed his heart, left the most dominant & dynastic of production houses, at the peak, on his own terms."
Lastly she mentioned a fact about the M.S Dhoni: The Untold Story actor — Rajput always wanted to do his own biopic. Priyanka wrote that if the biopic were ever made it should be with "Artificial intelligence (AI) technology". She believes this could become a reality soon.
Rajput's death shook Bollywood as well as his fan following across the world. His case is currently in court and was initially ruled to have been a suicide. However ,the actor's family and loved ones believe his ex and actor Rhea Chakraborty and other influential people are responsible for his death.
The case is still being investigated by India's Central Bureau of Investigation.
