Hira Mani is over the moon about her first official song crossing 16 million views on YouTube
While some people were surprised to see Hira Mani take over the stage at a concert in Faisalabad last month, others were unfazed because the actor has a singing past — she was one of the celebrities included in the artist lineup for Kashmir Beats' season 1. Her performance video just crossed 16 million views on YouTube and Mani is delighted.
"Omg this is unbelievable and huge," she captioned screenshots of the song, with the view count circled.
"Mere life ka pehla official gana or woh bhe itna hit kia baat hai [The first official song I've ever sung in my life and it's a hit!]." Crediting her fans for this achievement she said, "ye mere fans ka kamal hai yaar itna piyar kertey hain app log 16 million ye mere liye bohat bari baat hai [This is all my fans' doing. You guys love me so much, 16 million is a huge deal for me]."
The actor — and now singer — hinted at an appearance in season 2 saying, "Inshallah season 2 bhe aanay wala hai zara dil thaam kay baith ye... [Season 2 is coming, hold your breath]."
In the comment section under the video, people praised Mani for being a natural on stage as well as for singing a song that suited her "signature happy-go-lucky attitude".
Kashmir Beats is a Pakistani television music show which features live studio-recorded music performances by established actors of the industry. It featured celebs such as Zara Noor Abbas, Adnan Siddiqui, Ahsan Khan, Zhalay Sarhadi and Kinza Hashmi in the first season that was released in Jan 2021.
More recently, Mani's performance in the PGC Music Festival Faisalabad in Dec 2021 went viral as she took over the stage and sang 'Disco Deewanay' among other numbers.
The actor has been liberally re-sharing stories by her fan pages who call themselves "Hiraians."
Looks like Mani may be transitioning into a professional singer.
The song has apparently crossed 1 million views on Soundcloud as well.
