Asim Azhar unwraps his Spotify Wrapped and reveals Doja Cat is his favourite singer
Spotify had us all excited when it released the analytics tying up our year's music streaming journey and hosted a personalised award show of sorts with categories related to our streaming. While Spotify Wrapped took social media by storm, people couldn't help but wonder what their favourite artists had been listening to and if Asim Azhar is one of yours, you're in for a treat.
Azhar headed over to Spotify Pakistan to reveal the most listened to artists on his playlist and Doja Cat was his Top Artist of 2021. He went on to explain what has him so enamoured to her and said, "She's just making great music and the chord sense in her songs, I love that. That's pretty much why she's my top streamed artist 'cause I'm a chords guy."
The singer-songwriter also shared his top five streamed songs and the list contains several 2021 hits so chances are your favourite musician may have been jamming to the same songs as you!
All five songs are pretty upbeat and fall under the pop genre — some with a mix of hip hop as well.

Azhar also revealed his favourite song of 2021, which was number five on the top streamed songs list — 'Levitating' by Dua Lipa.
Earlier this month, the musician had shared his Spotify for Artists version of Spotify Wrapped according to which his songs had been streamed around 50 million times.
Azhar is an established singer at 25 and he's recorded several OSTs the most recent of which is for Sinf-e-Aahan which got a great response. Actor Sajal Aly, who stars in the show, commended him for his journey and called it one of her favourite OSTs.
The singer has been working on multiple projects — he recently released a teaser from the music video of the first song from his upcoming album and also a rendition of his own song for Cocomo.
Azhar has branched out in all directions as he also dabbles in acting — he's worked on dramas such as Pagli and Pyaar Kahaani. The musician has collaborated with artists like Young Stunners, Shamoon Ismail and Aima Baig and done anthems for the PSL and, more recently, for PUBGM.
