Actor Armeena Khan took to social media to announce that her short film Snapshot has been selected by the Gold Movie Awards and the Los Angeles Lift-Off Film Festival.

Khan took to social media to announce the film's selections. "Hey folks. As you may recall, Sharaz Ali and I produced our first short film Snapshot," she wrote on Instagram. "it has been been selected into the Gold Movie Awards and Lift Off Global Network thus far. You will be able to view the movie soon on one of these platforms. I am proud of the whole team and the cast."

Short film Snapshot was a collaborative work between Turkey and Pakistan talents. While the producers, director, writers are from Pakistan, co-actors Mert Kilic and Ayhan Isik, and the music composer were from Turkey. The film was produced by Khan, marking her debut as a film producer. It was directed by Ali.

The Gold Movie Awards are organised by an international film festival based in London. The Los Angeles Lift-Off Film Festival is organised by UK-based Lift-Off Global Network which promotes the works of indie film creators around the world.

Snapshot told the story of a Canadian girl (played by Khan) who gets stuck Turkey's capital Istanbul because of Covid-19 lockdown restrictions. According to a press release, the story was meant to emphasise "platonic relationships" and "bring to the fore the importance of friendship".
