Asim Azhar celebrates eight years in the music industry
Asim Azhar is celebrating eight years of being in the mainstream music industry. He recently took to social media to post a video made by a fan, showing various glimpses of his singing career over the years.
One of Azhar's fans — who are fondly called Asimates — posted a video to mark the occasion on social media. The video was then re-shared by the singer who also spoke about his journey.
"Wow, eight years? I swear it feels like yesterday," he wrote. "A bit speechless on how fast time flies and your love for the past eight years. Thank you all for becoming a part of my life. I can't thank my fans enough for doing all this. Asimates you know who you guys are! Because of you, this journey of eight years feels like a flash, and I promise I will keep entertaining you until you want me to.
"To everyone who is a part of my journey, I love each and every one of you," he added.
Azhar also dropped a hint about releasing his first album soon, which was previously delayed because of political tensions between India and Pakistan. The situation delayed the album's release because the singer's record label was Indian — Universal Music India.
So far the singer has released various single tracks. He shot to success with the release of the single 'Sunlay' in 2013. He also recorded songs for Bollywood, such as 'Humraah', as well as songs for Lollywood, such as 'Ghalat Fehmi', which earned the singer cross-border recognition and success as well.
