Zahab Kamal Khan, a Karachi born professional squash player residing in the US, recently set a Guinness World Record for the 'most hair donated by an individual'.

The 30-year-old made the announcement to her followers on social media, posting a picture of herself holding a long train of hair in her hand. "Most hair donated by an individual!" she wrote in the caption. "Donating 5 feet 1 inches [worth of hair] to Children With Hairloss. My dad's idea changed my life [and] our 18-year dream finally [came] true. Today I am a Guinness World Record holder," she said.

"Today I am very happy to be working with Children With Hairloss and grateful to know that my hair is going to help kids. I would also like to thank all of my sponsors and donors for your support!" Khan said.

Washington DC based publication and TV station WJLA also published news of Khan setting a Guinness World Record.

The squash player's journey till the final trim had been previously featured by the Washington Post who highlighted how Khan had been growing her hair for 17 years.

According to the Post, she was 13 when her father, Mustafa Kamal Khan, suggested she grow it out. For her father, long hair would make Khan stand out, and maybe earn her a Guinness World Record in the process.

Khan is already a Guinness World Record holder for 'most hair clips on the head'. She had used 1,100 clips in her hair to set the world record earlier in August.
