Karachi born director and producer Bassam Tariq is currently in talks with Marvel Studios to direct its upcoming film Blade, according to Variety.

The movie is an off-shoot of the highly successful trilogy that began in 1998 with the movie Blade. It includes 2002’s Blade II and 2004’s Blade Trinity. The story revolved around a half human, half vampire vigilante who protected human beings from villainous vampire creatures.

Pakistanis and Pakistanis with Pakistanis are making inroad abroad to help display the vast talent, But the media in Pakistan which includes film, television are still close minded and produce repeat stories and do not to chances to stir the pot. If they make films about serious issues they are condemned by the "only promote good things about Pakistan" brigade. Actors spend way too much time on selfies about themselves, selling products or their lavish life styles. Some need more schooling in the art of acting and others need to forgo their looks to take challenging rules where audience are amazed by their acting skills not their appearances. Films should be thought provoking that stirs creativity.
