One of the country’s most renowned detergent brand, Surf Excel, has entered this cricket season with an enticing Daaghon Ka Champion trophy for cricketers.
The sport which binds every Pakistani and creates those nail biting moments wont get people just chanting oooout! now, but also for players to get Daagh on themselves.
Let's discuss, why.
Surf Excel has joined hands with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and announced the Daaghon Ka Champion trophy for the players who stain themselves the most while playing the sport, or while diving.
The detergent brand has aired a commercial across digital and conventional platforms featuring Shadab Khan, Faheem Ashraf and Mohammad Rizwan who collaboratively perform a dive to get stains on their clothes. The ad ends with all three of the players covered in stains, where the audience is left curious about who the winner of the newly announced trophy will be.
The level of agility cricket players have on-ground will now be doubled, as the fear of getting stained won’t hinder their performance.
Chances are, players will up their motivatation to perform a dive as it will end up getting them a one-of-its-kind reward. To ensure their favorite players win the Daaghon Ka Champion trophy, social media enthusiasts have started prepping their dives, just to buck up their favorite players. These dives will be added to the players scores and help them win the trophy and the grand prize of Rs500,000.
Influencers across Instagram are giving a humourous touch to their dive practice routine; some use their kids as barbells, while others have smartly made use of stuff we find lying around in the house as weights; one was seen using water bottles as dumbbells.
Surf Excel once again hasn’t failed to impress us as it continued its legacy of 'Daagh Toh Achay Hotay Hain' to a national sport, loved by all Pakistanis to the core.
The question still remains as to who the final winner of the Daaghon Ka Champion trophy will be. What city does he belong to? What will be his Dive score? This is a clear hint for all cricket fans to stay tuned!
