Students are not taking kindly to government's decision to reopen schools

Decision upset many who recognise the 2nd Covid wave more lethal than the first (and others who just don't want schools to open).

Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood has announced a revised schedule for the reopening of schools, and some students are not taking kindly to the news.

Classes from 9 to 12 will begin from January 18 as planned previously, while classes 1-8 will start from February 1 instead of January 25.

During the press conference, Mahmood had said that this year, high school students would not be promoted without examinations and therefore, it had been decided that their classes would resume as per schedule.

The decision upset many who recognise the ongoing wave of Covid-19 more lethal than the first one (and others who just don't want schools to open), and some took to Twitter to protest.

Serious concerns were raised

Some pointed double standards

While others just held on to some hope

Some were upset

Students to their future: bright karein isay

A solution?

Good, school shouldn’t listen to govt until vaccines are given to teachers first!
