Congratulations are in order as Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli just became proud parents to a beautiful baby girl.

The cricket champ shared the happy news with fans and followers on social media.

“We are thrilled to share with you that we have been blessed with a baby girl this afternoon. We thank you all for your love, prayers and good wishes. Anushka and the baby are both healthy and we are feeling beyond blessed to start this new chapter of our lives," his statement read.

Further, the duo requested the media to respect their privacy at this auspicious occasion.

"We hope that you can respect our privacy at this time,” he added. "Love, Virat."

Virushka, as their fans address them, announced back in August 2020 that they are adding another member to the family. In identical tweets, they had written, “And then, we were three! Arriving Jan 2021."
