After staining screens across Instgram for numerous inventive campaigns, Surf Excel is back with another stunt, yet again showing us who's the real Daaghon ka champion.
For its #100HourDaaghBillboard, the brand installed a billboard-sized T-shirt in Lahore which was stained for four days and washed with the newest variant of the detergent that carries 'stain lifter technology'.
The variant now claims to remove 100-hour old tough stains in just one wash.
The billboard was stained with items ranging from mud to ketchup, chocolate, and numerous syrups, the type of stains most kids drop on their clothes.
The event kicked off on December 13 and over a span of 48 hours children and leading influencers, socially distanced, stained the giant shirt and participated in fun activities; these included, kicking footballs covered in staining material, painting over the shirt with larger than life paint brushes, and using slingshots and water-guns filled with staining liquids.
Guinness world record holder and Pakistan’s female football team captain, Hajra Khan, alongside enthusiastic young footballers kickstarted day one.
The face of Surf Excel’s biryani commercial, Arsh, also joined in and engaged with both on-ground and online audiences of the event.
Moments before day two began, our favourite mum influencers took to Instagram stories to discuss the activity, asking followers to keep an eye on the 100 Hour Daagh Billboard.
On day three, comedians and influencers, Momin Saqib and Bilal Bin Saqib, dropped by to help everyone dry the 76-hour old stains on the giant shirt. The duo used steam irons, leaf blowers and life sized fans to dry the shirt. The grand washing activity was broadcasted live on their Instagram stories.
On the last day of the event, team Surf Excel stepped forward to witness some of the most 'sakht and sookhay' stains, and challenge the 'Daaghon ka Champion', Surf Excel.
Celebs like Juggan Kazim, influencers and the audiences awaited results as the stained shirt was placed inside a giant washing machine for Surf Excel's magical final rinse.
Within the span of few minutes, Surf Excel shocked everyone by freeing the giant shirt of all its stains.
Surf Excel successfully proved to be the ultimate Daaghon Ka Champion, showing customers that they can rely on the detergent even for the toughest of all stains.
The campaign, aptly named as #DaaghonKaChampion, was wrapped after the now clean and spotless white t-shirt hung on the billboard where the activity was held, and influencers and public celebrated the brand's clean sweep.
