All the touristy things Ertugrul's Engin Altan is doing during his time in Pakistan

The actor tried Pakistani cuisine, visited Badshahi Mosque and paid respect to Allama Iqbal at his shrine

Dirilis Ertugrul's Engin Altan Duzyatan touched down in Pakistan Thursday and is adamant on making the most of his time while he's here.

After addressing fans in a press con on Friday, the actor spent his time being a tourist in the country that's given him so much love.

He made sure to try some Pakistani cuisine...

Before making his way over to Badshahi Mosque

He also visited Allama Iqbal's shrine to pay respects

While addressing the media and fans yesterday, the star said he'd be open to working in Pakistan.

"If you have a good story for me, why not!"

He added that this was his first visit and he couldn't get an opportunity to explore the rest of the country. "But I'm aware how breathtaking the scenery is and InshaAllah whenever opportunity knocks, I would love to visit [again] one day."

Here's hoping he comes back sooner rather than later!

And do Pakistani actors receive similar treatment and coverage abroad? NO. But we continue to worship those who are not from our culture. In any case, nothing against Engin Altan, he seems to be a nice fellow and should be respected.

Love this man. Ertugrul has knocked over, or should I say knocked out all the trash dramas to become the most beloved and watched serial on Pakistan television, with a huge fan following in India as well.

Great Actor! Very much responsible, lively, caring, jolly, and down to earth personality!! The character he has played in Ertugrul will never be forgotten in the Muslim world for many reasons. However, the most important reason was how the Muslims from Turkey went beyond their boundaries on their own guts, planning, bravery and confidence. Remarkable!! I must say that I love Engin Altan and the way he lived the character of Ertugrul. Fabulous!! It teaches us the kind of heinous people goes to their worst by playing dirty politics and how the braves do their best to stop them by exposing their evil deed with hardcore and concrete proof. Wow!!

@jaredlee007 I agree with you. But then again our shows and dramaa are only watched by Pakistanis and other desis. There is no international audience. Nobody in their right minds can sit through our dramas which promote misogyny, patriarchy and illogical plots. Simple things will be questioned. Until we up our game and produce shows which others can relate to as well, we won't be known. We'll unless our actors start taking up work abroad. But then again consider this most of our actors are either ex fashion models or children of other actors. So the acting is accordingly. We really need to promote actors who can act and not go for looks and connections.
