Legendary musician and world renowned star Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has become the first Pakistani singer to bag a whopping 5 million subscribers on YouTube.
With a total of 207 videos uploaded, and the recent Gham-e-Ashiqui crossing 3 million views, the ustad celebrated the victory by expressing gratitude to his fans and followers on social media.
"I want to celebrate this moment with you all. Thank you, everyone for all the love and support," the Mere Rashke Qamar singer posted on Instagram, as he shared a festive moment with personalised desserts and some star-studded cakes and cupcakes.
Khan began formally training for his skill at the age of seven, and has since released more than 50 albums including performing at numerous high-profile concerts across the world.
Having sung over 100 Bollywood songs, much of his global following is accredited to Bollywood as well, where his shows in 2019 were cancelled due to political unrest.
Rahat was also presented an honorary shield from Oxford University where he got to perform in one of the world's most historical music rooms.
